Platform # 2 focuses on environmental and health problems that influence morbidity and mortality in tropical countries. Capacity building at both individual and institutional level plays a key role in ensuring the success of innovation strategies that complement technological progress.

This platform trains experts in biotechnology, molecular biology, genetics and neurosciences, as well as in civil engineering for water sanitation and hygiene. It also provides graduates with interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of international cooperation and economic development.

Citizens of Bolivia, Palestine, Ethiopia, Jordan, Senegal, Lebanon, Pakistan, Myanmar and Sudan - who are resident in their home countries - are eligible for the scholarships.

Applications are now open and must be submitted no later than 20 June 2019 at 2.00 p.m.
