3D (and 4D!) cell cultures for pre-clinical research
Prof.ssa Stefania Pizzimenti
The ability to grow human tissues in three-dimensional (3D) culture can enhance understanding disease mechanisms and accelerate drug discovery.
This seminar, mainly dedicated to those who know little about this topic, provides students with knowledge on the main features of 3D cell culture platforms (i.e., spheroids, organoids, bioreactors) and other innovative technologies (i.e., microfluidics, bioprinting) able to better recapitulate human diseases.
An online quiz will be administered to participants one month before the start of the seminar to collect specific interests.
