Program
During one lecture, the steps necessary to assess the industrial exploitability of a scientific idea will be discussed, including the topics that must be delivered in a business plan (including the intellectual property), and how to build an elevator pitch deck. An added attraction at the lecture will be the case history of Panoxyvir ltd, a pharma startup and academic spinoff of the University of Turin. In the light of the previous points, the experience of Panoxyvir will be exploited as a tool to describe the main pitfalls that must be faced during the development of a pharma startup (including the search for seed funds, the management team, the choice of the proper market positioning, and the fulfillment of the necessary regulatory requirements).
