Program

During the first 4 hours, the students will learn the workflow for transforming one scientific idea into a written proposal/project. Special attention will be given to the research design and definition/identification of aims, tasks, deliverables/time schedule and expected results. Subsequently the pitfalls/caveats and the preparation of a contingency plan along with the budget management will be discussed. Finally, the most common funding schemes will be presented. The students will have to prepare a proposal based on the scientific project they are currently conducting and will load it on the moodle platform within 30 days, followed by a peer-reviewing (each student will evaluate one other student’s proposal) and a final joint presentation/discussion 15 days later.
